Environmental and Energy

Our Environmental and Energy practice group’s attorneys commonly work on environmental risk assessment and allocation strategies associated with the purchase, sale, lease, and financing of retail industry properties, including, but not limited to, distribution centers, shopping centers, and stand-alone retail stores.

We also provide counseling, litigation, and regulatory compliance and defense services relating to construction phase and post-development phase storm water management problems that are common to retail industry properties.

On the energy side, we provide advisory and transactional services pertaining to power purchase agreements and alternative energy production pertinent to retail industry properties and energy usage, with the solar energy production potential of retail industry distribution centers and other properties becoming more and more common.
