Purvi Shah

Purvi Shah is a partner with t|e General Counsel, Taylor English’s fractional general counsel practice. With 20 years of experience, Ms. Shah has extensive practice assisting clients with corporate, commercial transactions, restructuring, litigation, real estate and construction matters. Her highly organized, efficient, and motivated approach serve as an invaluable asset to her clients.

In addition to Ms. Shah’s roles in private practice, she has also served in-house in various roles such as, president and general counsel, assistant general counsel and assistant secretary, senior counsel and legal counsel. In these roles, she worked with companies to develop and execute legal and business strategies; provided advice relating to day-to-day business needs; drafted and negotiated sophisticated and high priority real estate and construction documents and commercial agreements, and managed all aspects of these transactions; trained and mentored junior team members; and managed outside counsel.

Ms. Shah is proactive in her approach, recognizing that contract management, negotiations, and business legal issues do not have to be a lengthy, drawn-out process. She has worked in identifying and assessing risks for companies, drafted and negotiated a variety of commercial agreements, as well as assisted with SEC reporting, corporate governance, and stockholder meeting matters.

Ms. Shah makes it a priority to develop strong relationships with her clients. Her ability to create solutions that align with business objectives, as well as work in a swift manner allows Ms. Shah to effectively navigate all aspects of her practice.

Prior to joining Taylor English, Ms. Shah served as in-house counsel for multiple companies, including Blueground, Minuteman Press, Yellow Corporation, and BlueScope Buildings North America Inc. In these roles, she gained valuable experience guiding organizations through the various stages of commercial transactions; providing advice and counsel; and developing, maintaining, and implementing the company’s corporate governance policies and compliance programs.
