Mark E. Florak
Mark Florak is an industry leader and has been involved in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions for more than 20 years, including shopping center acquisition, development and leasing; office leasing; and negotiation of sophisticated easement arrangements. For the past 14 years, Mr. Florak has negotiated leases throughout the country on behalf of a publicly traded national retailer during a national expansion phase. He represented a regional grocery store chain during an expansion phase with the goal of moving toward a national presence. Mr. Florak’s prior experience includes being in-house counsel for both a publicly traded retailer (Big Lots Inc.) and a publicly traded REIT (Developers Diversified Realty Corp.). His prior in-house experience for both a national retailer and developer has enabled him to become uniquely qualified to advise his clients on both legal and business issues. Mr. Florak’s involvement with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Law Conference Planning Committee has enabled him to establish both professional and personal relationships with industry experts within the retail development world.
Mr. Florak enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three kids, golfing and exercising.
