Jeff Schnayer is a partner in the firm’s intellectual property department. Mr. Schnayer focuses his practice on drafting and prosecuting patents across a wide range of technologies, primarily related to computer hardware and software. Additionally, he counsels clients in patent and validity analysis, design around and freedom to operate, and strategic patent portfolio development.

Mr. Schnayer has developed proficiency in a wide range of technologies including image and 3D graphics processing, collaborative content creation platforms, gaming, machine learning and AI, autonomous driving, cloud architectures, search, natural language processing, telecommunications, semiconductors, and databases.

Prior to joining Taylor English, Mr. Schnayer was a partner in Orange County office of an AmLaw 200 firm. While attending law school at the University of San Diego School of Law, he served as a patent prosecution intern with a start-up company. In this role, Mr. Schnayer gained first-hand experience into the unique patent protection challenges start-up companies face. Additionally, he has experience programing video games and has extensive knowledge of modern interactive technology.
