Cole Dowsley is a partner in Taylor English’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department. With more than 15 years of business litigation experience, Mr. Dowsley works closely with clients to solve complex problems. He has extensive experience resolving business-related disputes across a wide variety of industries in federal and state courts and in arbitration.
Mr. Dowsley is a lifelong Tennessean. While he is based in Nashville, he has represented clients of all sizes throughout Tennessee and across the country, including California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Washington.
Mr. Dowsley delivers exceptional results and works side-by-side with clients to fully understand their business goals, identify and manage risk, develop strategies to avoid lawsuits, and efficiently achieve winning results. He has a deep understanding of complex commercial matters, including breach of contract, partnership disputes/disputes among business owners, non-compete and non-solicitation violations, theft of trade secrets, real estate/construction disputes, and business torts, such as fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, civil conspiracy, and tortious interference. He also regularly handles matters before Tennessee appellate courts.
Mr. Dowsley is certified by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Rule 31 mediator. He completed mediation training at the Institute for Conflict Management at Lipscomb University. As a mediator, he uses his extensive litigation experience to assist litigants efficiently and effectively settle their cases.
Mr. Dowsley has been recognized by Mid-South Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for six years.
