Gary Ernst is an attorney in Taylor English’s Charlotte office. His practice areas include estate administration (probate), trust administration, estate planning, commercial real estate, and corporate law. In addition, Mr. Ernst has extensive experience in civil litigation and animal law.  

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Mr. Ernst has gained the trust of his business clients over nearly fifteen years of practice. In the past five years alone, he has established more than a hundred business entities (LLCs and corporations) and has managed hundreds of estate and trust administration matters, including a $25,000,000 complex probate matter with real property across numerous states and a foreign country.

Outside of his practice, Mr. Ernst enjoys supporting and volunteering with various local nonprofits, including Discovery Place Nature, Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, and other nature and animal-focused initiatives. He lives in Charlotte with his fiancée and their small menagerie of pets. While attending law school at the University of North Carolina School of Law, Mr. Ernst served as the Section Editor for the Environmental Law Symposium. In 2018, he authored an amicus curiae brief on behalf of US veterans in the Supreme Court of the United States.
