As a Partner in Taylor English’s Construction and Litigation Departments, Catrina H. Markwalter represents secured and unsecured creditors in State and Federal Court, as well as businesses and individuals. Her practice covers an extensive range of industries including matters related to business formation, contract negotiations and disputes, entity restructuring, business torts and financial disputes.
Prior to Taylor English, Ms. Markwalter practiced with a full-service law firm in Florida. She has represented secured and unsecured creditors on a comprehensive range of matters including bankruptcy proceedings where she has prosecuted and defended claims, motions for relief from automatic stay, motions for adequate protection, objection confirmation and discharge, and opposition to “cramdown” motions. Additionally, Ms. Markwalter is an SBA litigation attorney whose practice is focused on both 7(a) and CDC/504 SBA loan litigation, complex commercial litigation in both state and federal court, and general business matters.
Ms. Markwalter graduated from the University of Florida with an undergraduate in Environmental Policies and a Master’s in Business Administration. She obtained her law degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law.
