Matthew Rosenkoff is an energetic and passionate litigation partner who helps navigate individuals and businesses through all aspects of their business disputes. Mr. Rosenkoff has experience representing individuals, companies and condominium/homeowners associations in litigation matters concerning, among other things, contractual disputes, business torts, labor and employment issues, real estate disputes, and resort and hospitality disputes. Mr. Rosenkoff also has extensive experience representing those who are the subject of complaints and claims under various consumer protection statutes throughout the United States, including, but not limited to, claims arising under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act (GFBPA), and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA).
A native of South Florida, Mr. Rosenkoff began practicing law as a litigation associate with a commercial law firm in Miami, and was most recently a litigation associate with a full-service firm based in Atlanta. Mr. Rosenkoff is licensed to practice law in Georgia and continues to practice law in Florida. Mr. Rosenkoff has experience practicing in federal courts in both Georgia and Florida, before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, in appellate courts and in American Arbitration Association proceedings.
Mr. Rosenkoff also is involved with the Emory Law Moot Court Society, having represented Emory’s Securities Team (as oralist and coach) and Emory’s National Team (as participant), and having served as a guest judge for law students.
When not practicing law, Mr. Rosenkoff continues to stay active. Mr. Rosenkoff enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids; immersing himself in all things University of Michigan-related; and traveling, having extensively traveled throughout Europe.

Defended a large furniture company in a contentious arbitration in which $14 million in damages was alleged. The Georgia Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the furniture company, and after an appeal by Plaintiff, the Supreme Court of Georgia issued a unanimous decision affirming the Court of Appeals.
On behalf of Pilgrim’s Pride, moved for summary judgment as to all allegations and claims asserted. On June 5, 2015, U.S. Magistrate Judge Patricia Barksdale issued a Report and Recommendation recommending that the Motion for Summary Judgment be granted in its entirety and Judgment to be entered in favor of Pilgrim’s Pride. The IRS abated penalties against NFL Football players who unwittingly invested in tax scam and provided information that resulted in criminal indictment of promoter.
Success in obtaining entry of an order in a shareholder battle for control of family owned corporations (1) granting interlocutory injunction, (2) granting clients’ motion for appointment of a receiver based on demonstrated deadlock among the corporate officers and directors, and (3) granting motion for citation of contempt based on failure of opponent shareholders/directors to comply with the interlocutory injunction order.
Bench trial results in judgment on professional negligence and Georgia civil Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act through a non-jury trial in US District Court of North Georgia. Successfully obtained judgment.
Represented alleged debt collectors in defeating a federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Georgia Fair Business Practices Act, and Georgia Unfair or Deceptive Practices Toward the Elderly Act lawsuit on a motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim in federal district court and on appeal in a Per Curiam Affirmed decision by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Represented alleged debt collector in defeating a federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act claim on a motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim in federal district court.
Advised companies regarding compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Georgia Fair Business Practices Act (FBPA) and Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA).
Represented individual real estate broker and company and assisted in nonbinding arbitration resulting in a defense verdict of a residential real estate dispute involving allegations of fraud and breach of duty.
Obtained summary judgment in a lawsuit involving breach of promissory notes and obtained satisfactory result for client through post judgment collection efforts.
Initiated effort which ultimately led to the Florida Legislature striking the derogatory term "shylock" from the usury laws of the Florida Statutes.
