The Taylor English model enables each attorney to manage their client’s relationship on an individual basis and what works best for that particular matter or business.
Mark Florak is an industry leader and has been involved in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions for more than 20 years, including shopping center acquisition, development and leasing; office leasing; and negotiation of sophisticated easement arrangements. For the past 14 years, Mr. Florak has negotiated leases throughout the country on behalf of a publicly traded national retailer during a national expansion phase. Mr. Florak also is currently representing a regional grocery store chain during an expansion phase with the goal of moving toward a national presence. Mr. Florak also represents both national and local developers during all phases of development, including site acquisition, easements, construction, buying and selling and leasing.
Mr. Florak’s prior experience includes being in-house counsel for both a publicly traded retailer (Big Lots Inc.) and a publicly traded REIT (Developers Diversified Realty Corp.). Mr. Florak’s prior in-house experience for both a national retailer and developer has enabled him to become uniquely qualified to advise his clients on both legal and business issues. Mr. Florak’s involvement with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Law Conference Planning Committee has enabled him to establish both professional and personal relationships with industry experts within the retail development world.
Mr. Florak enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three kids, golfing and exercising.

Experience
Represented national REIT’s as well as local/regional landlords for ground up developments and redevelopments.
Negotiated approximately 250 leases representing a national sporting goods chain.
Supported client Earth Fare, Inc.’s growth strategy by negotiating the company’s new store leases and other acquisitions. Earth Fare has 40 stores open and operating for business nationwide. The company continues to add stores with us leading new store lease agreement negotiations. Since 2013, we have worked on multiple new store location leases.
