Profile

Taylor English provides me with the flexibility and support to provide high-quality legal services to my clients without breaking their bank. My clients’ needs always come first.

Jay Patton is a trial attorney who defends companies and individuals in a variety of matters, including personal injury litigation, commercial contract litigation and insurance coverage matters.

Mr. Patton has extensive experience providing defense services for insurance companies in both the general liability context by defending insureds, providing coverage opinions, prosecuting declaratory judgment actions, and defending extra-contractual/bad faith litigation.

Mr. Patton also had extensive experience representing manufacturers and other companies in litigation involving commercial contracts and warranties involving the sale of goods and application of the Uniform Commercial Code.

Mr. Patton regularly counsels clients on issues outside of litigation, often in an effort to avoid litigation altogether. These services include rapid response investigation and analysis of catastrophic manufacturing events, pre-litigation commercial contract analysis, and risk assessment counseling.

A few examples of Mr. Patton’s work include:

  • Secured a defense verdict in Gwinnett County, Georgia on behalf of his client who was sued for personal injury damages after her vehicle was struck by a vehicle in an intersection that failed to yield the right of way, but nonetheless sued her for damages.
