Profile
Foy Devine is a member of Taylor English’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. Since 1969, Mr. Devine has concentrated his practice in civil trial work. He has handled business litigation of all types, as well as catastrophic personal injury and death cases arising out of product-related injuries. He has frequently appeared in state and federal appellate courts.
He is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, and has been selected as a Georgia Super Lawyer for several years. Mr. Devine has served on the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors since 1988. He also has served on various State Bar committees and chaired its Advisory Committee on Legislation. From 1990-1991, he was president of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and was the principal driver behind a statewide program to increase public education about the civil justice system.

Practice Highlights
Experience
Lead counsel to manufacturer in connection with two carriers (primary and excess) in connection with coverage for asbestos claims. In October 2018, the Georgia Court of Appeals issued a sweeping ruling that requires two insurance companies to fulfill their obligations to make available $117 million in coverage to a fabric manufacturer defending ongoing personal injury litigation resulting from exposure to asbestos that its products contained years ago, which ...
