David Lucente is a patent attorney with more than 25 years of extensive technology, intellectual property and patent law experience. Representing both domestic and foreign clients, he routinely counsels clients on intellectual property issues. As a registered patent attorney, Mr. Lucente is skilled in managing patent portfolios, counseling clients, patent preparation and prosecution, licensing, and intellectual property management for domestic and foreign sites. Mr. Lucente aims to provide his clients with solid guidance on establishing sound intellectual property strategies and successfully supporting litigation matters.
Mr. Lucente has significant experience in prosecuting and preparing domestic and foreign patent applications. He has successfully managed several $1 to $2.5 million patent portfolios, implemented trade secrets programs, and developed corporate IP strategies and copyright policies and procedures. He has experience in pre-filing investigations, advice on infringement and invalidity arguments, defending patent assertions and filing reexaminations.
Prior to joining Taylor English, Mr. Lucente was a senior patent attorney for 10 years at Seagate Technology LLC. Prior to Seagate, he worked for Zen Research, Inc., CTS Wireless Components and LSI Logic Corp.
Mr. Lucente is admitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, as well as the Colorado and Illinois State Bars. He lives in Johns Creek with his wife and two daughters.
