David Forestner litigates and arbitrates for individuals and businesses in a wide variety of disputes, including high-exposure tort litigation, insurance coverage, and commercial ownership disputes. He has obtained success for clients in state and federal courts and in arbitration nationwide in numerous industries, including insurance and other financial products, nursing homes and health care, professional negligence, homeowners associations, security, construction, waste disposal, mining, land use and zoning.
Mr. Forestner has extensive experience litigating coverage issues in state and federal courts throughout the country and has represented clients in Directors and Officers coverage litigation involving towers of coverage exceeding $80 million. He currently represents insureds in nearly a dozen coverage disputes and is managing a number of cases where he is advising on strategies and theories to maximize insurance coverage.
Mr. Forestner earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Risk Management and Insurance. While attending law school at the University of Miami, he served as a claims manager handling hundreds of medical malpractice claims in South Florida for a professional liability insurer. Upon completion of his law degree, Mr. Forestner returned to Atlanta where he worked as an attorney for Arnall Golden Gregory handling professional liability coverage actions and construction and architect coverage disputes.
Prior to joining Taylor English, Mr. Forestner was a shareholder at a large, national law firm. He is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution sections and the former chair of the Torts and Insurance Practice Section of the Georgia Bar.
