Kerry L. Stumpe is one of Taylor English Duma LLP’s Senior Licensing and Permits Consultants; and he is a founding member of the firm’s Restaurant, Food and Beverage, and Licensing Department. For the past 15 years, Mr. Stumpe has worked with public and private hospitality and alcohol retail clients to expedite their alcohol, business, health and fire permits. He started his career in 1990 as an architect, where he developed an expertise in the licensing and permitting process. After 10 years in architecture, Mr. Stumpe began working in the legal profession and expanded his practice to include alcohol licensing. Throughout his career as a Licensing and Permitting Consultant, he has developed a wealth of contacts in numerous jurisdictions, which brings an added value to our clients. Whether working with individuals opening their first restaurant or a corporate acquisition of more than 500 locations in multiple states, Mr. Stumpe constantly strives to find the most cost-effective and expedient strategy for accomplishing the client’s permitting needs.
Mr. Stumpe enjoys volunteer work, golf, graphic design and travel when not working in the Restaurant, Food and Beverage, and Licensing Department. He has coached high school varsity football and track for the past 12 seasons and has developed several logos and various graphics used by those schools. Mr. Stumpe also travels to Africa annually to work with underprivileged children and endangered wildlife through his non-profit, Children of Conservation. The organization provides scholarships to children in numerous countries in Africa.
