"The M&A Playbook: Quarterbacking the Deal," ACC-Georgia August Luncheon Program

August 13, 2013

The Georgia Chapter of Association of Corporate Counsel and Taylor English Duma LLP will present “The M&A Playbook: Quarterbacking the Deal”.

When the lawyer gets the call, it’s often late in the game and your business is in the red zone. So how do you get the deal across the goal line?  Every deal must have the right team assembled, and the GC, like a quarterback, must consider all aspects of the action, call the right play, execute his or her duties, and lead the team to victory.

This presentation will provide in-house counsel with an M&A playbook that includes initial strategy, structuring, tax planning, negotiations, litigation risk, IP, human capital, document preparation, due diligence, regulatory compliance, funding, and post-closing matters. It will also inform attendees where to look for specialists, so when it comes time to execute, the right personnel will be “on the field” with the GC.

Attendance is limited to ACC members and their invited guests, as well as prospective ACC members. ACC membership is open to attorneys who practice law as in-house counsel employees of organizations and who do not hold themselves out to the public for the practice of law.

Thanks to Taylor English Duma LLP, the CLE lunch program is complimentary for the first 120 ACC members who register their intention to attend on-line. Thereafter, the fee for current ACC members is $25, and, in all circumstances, $35 for non-members, including prospective members. A CLE credit of one (1) hour is being applied for, and if approved, will be submitted to the Georgia State Bar for attendees licensed to practice in Georgia.
