On December 23, 2015, immediately before a historic rush of drone Christmas gifts are set to be opened, Taylor English Duma aviation attorney Don Andersen authored an article regarding the fact that all drones – also known as small unmanned aircrafts (sUAS) – must be registered before their first flight outdoors. In addition to registration, the article discusses how to operate a drone in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Andersen was Associate General Counsel for Piper Aircraft Corp. from 1989 to 1991 and is certified by the Florida Bar in the field of aviation law. The full article is available here.
