Marc Taylor Selected as One of Leadership Atlanta's Class of 2013

Leadership Atlanta recently selected eighty four leaders throughout Atlanta who have a desire to help grow and strengthen the community. About Marc Taylor Marc Taylor is a founding member of Taylor English, where he typically represents management in disputes involving the employer-employee relationship. He has represented employers in both federal and state court jurisdictions throughout the United States. Taylor handles matters ranging from individual and class-action discrimination lawsuits to state law defamation and tort claims. He is a frequent speaker at seminars that focus on the full range of employment relationship issues. In addition, Taylor has successfully represented employers in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the U.S. Department of Labor, as well as before state agencies in more than 30 states. While serving as in-house employment counsel, Taylor was responsible for investigating and handling all employment-related disputes for Medaphis Corporation (now McKesson Corporation), a company with more than 10,000 employees. In this role, he developed and implemented nationwide employment law training programs and an ADR program that succeeded in reducing Medaphis’s employment-related lawsuits by 75 percent over two years. Before forming Taylor English, Taylor was at Powell Goldstein, LLP, serving as a partner from 1997 to 2005. He is married and has three children.
