Taylor English Duma Adds Products Liability Veteran LeeAnn Jones
Taylor English Duma is pleased to announce that LeeAnn Jones has joined the firm, bringing with her more than 27 years of representing clients in commercial, mass tort, class action, pharmaceutical and medical device, and products liability litigation. With the addition of Jones to the firm’s attorneys already involved in this practice area, Taylor English is also pleased to announce the launch of its new Products Liability practice group. Jones will work with attorneys Foy Devine, Jay Patton, Allen Willingham, Ann Schildhammer, Michael Johnson and Lacrecia Cade to round out the Products Liability group. In addition, Jones is a Henning-trained mediator registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and will focus on building her mediation practice at Taylor English. She was previously with Bryan Cave LLP (formerly Powell Goldstein LLP). During Jones’s more than 27-year career, she has successfully defended clients facing billions of dollars in mass tort and products liability exposure. This includes representation of chemical, consumer product, drug and medical device manufacturers and consumer service providers, in individual actions, consolidated actions, multi-district litigation (MDL) proceedings, class actions and arbitrations. The cases Jones has handled have involved industrial accident, chemical exposure, negligence, product defect, failure to warn, and consumer fraud claims. In her national practice, she has litigated in more than 20 states, with substantial experience throughout Georgia and the Southeast. Jones has also developed and implemented national and regional litigation programs to assist clients in effectively managing and coordinating discovery and litigation. “In recent years, we have seen a sharp increase in client needs in the pharmaceutical and products liability and class action practice areas,” said Todd Jones, Practice Group Chair for the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group. “LeeAnn’s depth of experience as a litigator in these areas will give our new Products Liability practice group an immediate and strong foothold both locally and nationally.” Jones is active in the community, serving as a board member and volunteer for a number of local and national organizations. She is a member of the American, Atlanta, and Georgia State Bar Associations, and the Stonewall Bar Association. She also has served on the Boards of the Human Rights Campaign, Jerusalem House, and other service organizations. Jones received her undergraduate degree and her law degree from the University of Georgia.
