Taylor English Duma Adds Kean DeCarlo to Intellectual Property Practice

Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce that Kean J. DeCarlo has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. Mr. DeCarlo was previously a partner at Ballard Spahr LLP.

Mr. DeCarlo’s practice focuses specifically in patent, copyright and trademark matters for the mechanical and medical technology industries. He has extensive experience in domestic and international patent prosecution, patent counseling, portfolio and competitor analysis, licensing and commercial transactions for clients ranging from start-ups to international corporations.

Mr. DeCarlo is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, State Bar of Georgia and the Southeast Medical Device Association. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and is also an adjunct professor at Georgia State University College of Law and Mercer University School of Law.

Mr. DeCarlo received his undergraduate degree from Clemson University, his master’s of business administration from Golden Gate University and his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law.
