Taylor English's Amanda Hyland Recognized Among the University of Florida's "40 Gators Under 40"
ATLANTA, April 21, 2020 – Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce that partner Amanda Hyland has been recognized among the University of Florida’s “40 Gators Under 40” list for her contributions to the community and her profession.
Since joining Taylor English in 2010, Hyland has been instrumental in growing the firm’s intellectual property group, which consisted of four attorneys at the time and has grown to 25 lawyers. She handles a significant portion of the firm’s largest IP litigation matters and high-profile clients, and focuses her practice on media and First Amendment counseling and litigation for a variety of corporations and non-profit organizations. Hyland has been recognized as one of the best trademark attorneys in the country by Chambers, Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America and World Trademark Review. In 2016, she was also recognized as one of the top 25 attorneys under 40 in Georgia.
“I have worked closely with Amanda on many significant client engagements where her dedicated excellence to driving value has been recognized by numerous clients, including some of the firm’s largest representations,” said Marc Taylor, a founding partner of Taylor English. “Her combined body of work represents success that most lawyers could only dream of accumulating after a life-long career, and the fact that she has done so before the age of 40 is truly an amazing accomplishment. We are incredibly lucky and proud to work with a leader like Amanda.”
Hyland focuses a significant portion of her practice to pro bono matters, and has provided hundreds of hours this year to animal- and child-welfare organizations and scam victims. Her passion for her community extends to her work as an Executive Board member for Kate’s Club, a grief support organization for families that have experienced the death of a parent of sibling. Hyland’s leadership has helped the organization increase corporate donations and engage in a comprehensive marketing and communication plan helping it meet a 30% increase in new membership in 2019. Additionally, she offers her legal acumen to the organization, most recently in a trademark action it needed.
She has also served on the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers Membership Campaign, the Atlanta Human Society Junior Board and as a mentor for the Atlanta Women’s Foundation. Among Hyland’s many law-related service roles, she sits on the Executive Committee of the Atlanta Intellectual Property Inn of Court (the premier lawyer organization regarding IP issues) and in various leadership roles for the International Trademark Association (INTA).
Hyland earned her undergraduate degree, master’s degree and law degree from the University of Florida.
