Amanda Hyland Selected as a Member of the International Trademark Association Academic Committee

Taylor English is pleased to announce that the International Trademark Association (INTA) has selected its partner Amanda Groover Hyland as a member of its 2016-2017 Academic Committee. INTA’s Academic Committee develops services and programs specifically designed for law students and professors. This includes content development, identification of speakers and moderators, support with course materials development and review, and program implementation. Ms. Hyland joins Taylor English attorney W. Scott Creasman in INTA organizational leadership, Mr. Creasman has served on the INTA Legislation & Regulation Committee for four years.

Ms. Hyland focuses her practice on intellectual property, media, and First Amendment counseling and litigation for a variety of corporations and nonprofit organizations. Her commercial clients include Fortune 100 companies, national publishers, clothing and gift manufacturers, and corporations in the energy and water infrastructure industries. She has handled dozens of lawsuits in state and federal courts, including all types of trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret and false advertising disputes.

INTA is the global association of trademark owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and intellectual property in order to protect consumers and promote fair commerce. The organization represents 30,000 trademark professionals, and includes brand owners from major corporations as well as small- and medium-sized enterprises, law firms and nonprofits. There are also government agency members as well as individual professor and student members.
