Taylor English’s Michele Stumpe Featured on Cover of November/December Issue of Simply Buckhead Magazine
In its November/December 2014 edition, Simply Buckhead magazine selected Michele L. Stumpe for its cover and feature story. Ms. Stumpe, an attorney in Taylor English’s Resort, Hotel and Hospitality, and Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice groups, is profiled for her work with Children of Conservation, the non-profit she founded with her husband. The non-profit protects endangered species through habitat preservation, sanctuary support and education. Simply Buckhead’s profile walks readers through Ms. Stumpe’s passion for primates, chronicling her first interaction with the wild species to the growth of their non-profit. Children of Conservation now sponsors the education of more than 100 children in Cameroon, Uganda and Kenya. Ms. Stumpe adds, “Once we commit to a child, we stay with him or her through graduation, contingent upon their grades, conservation involvement and parents’ continued work at the sanctuary.” In addition to her work to encourage wildlife education, Ms. Stumpe is drafting contracts between sanctuaries, governments and forestry administrators to set aside protected land and severely prosecute poachers.
