Free Labor From Georgia Student Athletes May Soon Come To An End

In the Atlanta Business Chronicle's article, Taylor English partner Bruce Siegal, former Vice President and General Counsel for the Collegiate Licensing Company, commented on Georgia's proposed legislation to allow college athletes to be compensated. This proposed legislation considers the commercial use of a student-athlete's name, image, and likeness. Georgia's proposed legislation is modeled after California's 'Fair Pay to Play' legislation which goes into effect in January 2023.
