On January 19, 2015, Business Insurance interviewed Raanon Gal for its article, “Supreme Court May Dilute EEOC’s Aggressive Legal Strategy.” The article discusses the U.S. Supreme Court’s move to review whether the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) must seek conciliation with employers before suing them for violating federal law. Mr. Gal suggests that a ruling in the employer’s favor will tip the balance of how cases are litigated, and how the conciliation process will be going forward, if the EEOC has to worry they actually made a good faith effort to settle.
