"Employment Juries Are Not 'Vanishing,' Defense Lawyer Says," Daily Report

December 19, 2013

In response to a number of articles about the “vanishing” jury trial in employment discrimination cases, The Daily Report published Randy Gepp’s article, “Employment Juries Are Not “Vanishing,” Defense Lawyer Says,” on Dec. 19. In the article, Gepp suggests that the jury trial process in the Northern District of Georgia is fair and that employees with worthy cases receive trials before juries. In addition, he says the process utilized by the Northern District provides ample protection to employees in employment discrimination cases as claims may be reviewed by both a magistrate judge and the district judge. The article continues by reviewing the District’s rigorous legal process and examines the real reasons why some cases don’t survive summary judgment.
