"Union Organizing Is Down In Georgia, But Not Out," Law360

In an article published by Law360 on October 14, 2021, Peter Spanos discusses union organization in the state of Georgia. 

Georgia is hardly booming when it comes to organized labor, with under 5% of workers belonging to a public or private sector union. But, unions are doing all they can to support their members and organizers are working tirelessly to boost unionization in the state. 

"Despite encouragement to unions from the current administration, union organizing in Georgia hasn't increased," said Spanos. Adding that, instead of handling organizing drives for clients a different kind of work is keeping him busy. 

"There's a lot of activity for companies that are already represented," he said, nothing that he has seen an uptick in union grievances.
