May 23, 2016

In an article published by Global Atlanta on May 19, 2016, Deitra Crawley discusses the visit of Rubén Ramos Arrieta, minister counselor responsible for the Cuban embassy’s economic and trade office, for an all-day roundtable hosted by the firm on Monday, May 23, 2016. The roundtable will address Cuba’s investment needs and explain procedures by which companies can operate there legally. Ms. Crawley explains, “I think the appetite is ripe. It is ripe and it is rich. I believe from just my interactions that they are poised and ready to embrace cross-investment opportunities.” She said the idea for the forum came after the World Affairs Council of Atlanta’s conference last year, where experts including Mr. Ramos helped companies untangle the web of conflicting information about Cuban market entry. Many influential companies will attend the forum, including Delta Air Lines Inc., United Parcel Services Inc., Georgia Power Co. and others.
