"Why I… Volunteer With The Manna Fund," Daily Report

October 17, 2013

In the Daily Report’s new “Why I…” column, Joe English was profiled for his volunteer work with The Manna Fund. He credits Genie Burnett, Manna Fund’s executive director, for getting him involved with the organization’s board of directors. The Manna Fund exists to provide treatment access and hope to individuals battling eating disorders. As the only attorney on the board, English provides pro bono legal assistance to the Fund as needed. In addition, a major component of his duties is fundraising; The Manna Fund provides scholarships of $30,000 paid directly to inpatient treatment facilities for the benefit of scholarship recipients.
