"AVLF Goes to the Movies to Raise Awareness of Working Poor," Daily Report

On September 25, 2015, the Daily Report published an article about the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation’s annual “AVLF at the Movies” event, sponsored by Taylor English. This year’s movie was the HBO documentary, "Paycheck to Paycheck: The Life and Times of Katrina Gilbert," which chronicles the life of a “working poor” mother of three. The article notes that most of AVLF’s clients are similarly working poor. AVLF, which is the largest provider of pro bono legal services in Atlanta, Georgia, organizes and trains professionals from the metro-area legal community to assist citizens who can't afford a lawyer.
