Mr. Wright has an extensive and highly successful track record in corporate and transactional matters as well as civil litigation and arbitration. He focuses on the engineering, construction, and information technology industries, drawing upon his long experience and understanding of complex technical, design, production, and governmental regulatory environments.  Mr. Wright is considered to be the Southeast's leading attorney in matters relating to building envelope and water penetration issues in construction.  His practice primarily focuses on working with mid to large size corporations with a strong regional presence throughout the Southeast, but he also enjoys helping start-ups navigate the legal landscape as they grow their business.  His client engagements range from serving as general counsel to representing individual matters.

Mr. Wright graduated from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a B.S. and high honors in Business Economics.  He received his JD degree from Boston University.  Upon completion of his law degree, Mr. Wright was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship to study European Union law at the University of Saarland in Saarbruecken, Germany.

Mr. Wright is a certified mediator and arbitrator and regularly participates in such proceedings.  He also serves community, educational and trade organizations serving in a variety of volunteer and leadership roles including the Board of Directors of the Martins Landing Foundation and the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Tech.  Mr. Wright is fluent in German and conversant in Spanish.

  • Successfully defended a major general contractor in international arbitration in Germany against claims of construction defects in a utility installation by a large European infrastructure company;
  • Successfully represented trade contractor in series of multi-party lawsuits and arbitrations involving high rise residential developments in Florida and Georgia resulting in no payment of claims;
  • Guided manufacturer of server components with proprietary technology through start-up, venture capital funding, as well as licensing and distribution contract with major U.S. reseller;
  • Pursued claims of theft of intellectual property and proprietary software, and enforced trade secret rights in arbitration and litigation with successful results including divulging of stolen intellectual property and damages;
  • Worked closely with entrepreneurs to launch and grow companies in diverse areas of technology as varied as wireless broadband, streaming media and electronic health care records in corporate, venture capital funding, intellectual property licensing, and employment issues;
  • Secured payment in full for contractor on series of ten condominium building projects in Florida despite collapse of real estate market.
