Paul G. Durdaller is the managing member of the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights practice group at Taylor English Duma LLP. He has extensive experience in bankruptcy, committee representation, workouts, receiverships and the related commercial and business litigation. Mr. Durdaller regularly represents creditors, committees, trustees, examiners, receivers and purchasers.
Mr. Durdaller has extensive experience representing financial institutions including community and commercial banks. His practice includes a wide range of industries including financial institutions, real estate, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, technology, franchise and hospitality. He has also represented senior management in several bankruptcy cases including management’s $175M acquisition of Tender Loving Care Home Health Care Services, Inc. in its bankruptcy case. His litigation practice includes litigation relating to financial institutions, commercial transactions, healthcare, real estate, mortgage fraud, preference and fraudulent conveyances actions, dischargeability complaints and other business related matters.
Mr. Durdaller’s committee and trustee representation includes Northlake Foods, Inc. (Distribution Trustee), Tender Loving Care Home Health Care Services, Inc. (Senior Management Committee); First American Health Care of Georgia Inc. (Equity Security Option Holders’ Committee); Allegiant Physician Services, Inc. (Creditors’ Committee); Super Discount Markets, Inc. (Cub Foods) (Creditors’ Committee); The Sport Shoe (Creditors’ Committee); Shoebilee, Inc. (Creditors’ Committee); and CT Crew (Creditors’ Committee).
In 2007, Mr. Durdaller was recognized as a “Georgia Super Lawyer” in Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights Law by Atlanta Magazine and Law & Politics Media, Inc. He has lectured at numerous seminars on creditor representation in bankruptcy proceedings and is a former coordinator for the Norton Institutes on bankruptcy law. From June 1987 through June 1989, Mr. Durdaller served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lamar W. Davis, Jr., Chief Bankruptcy judge for the Southern District of Georgia. From 1989 through 1991, he practiced at Norton Pennington, a bankruptcy law firm in Atlanta. In 1991, he joined Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP where he was a partner in its Bankruptcy and Financial Services practice group until he joined Taylor English Duma.
