Marc Douglas Glenn is a Co-Chair of both of the Creditors’ Rights and the Real Estate, Lending and Finance practice groups at Taylor English. Mr. Glenn has extensive experience representing clients of all sizes in all areas of real estate and lending, including in the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, leasing, subleasing and foreclosure of commercial, industrial and multi-family real estate. Prior to joining Taylor English, Mr. Glenn was a member of Powell Goldstein (now Bryan Cave LLP), one of Atlanta’s oldest and largest law firms.
Mr. Glenn was appointed by the government of the Republic of Iceland as Consul, and he currently serves in this post. In this capacity, he serves Icelandic citizens in Georgia and surrounding states, assisting in various matters related to immigration and local laws. In addition, he represents the government of Iceland at international and business events in Atlanta and around the United States.
In 1997, Mr. Glenn was appointed by President Bill Clinton to serve a three-year term as a Member of the Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistance. He served with a number of distinguished members of the academic community, including the Chancellor of a large university system. The Committee was charged with providing advice directly to Congress and the President on all matters relating to financial assistance to students seeking undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Mr. Glenn and his wife, Kimberly, live in Sandy Springs with their children, Jonah, Asher and Isabella, and their dog, Conner.
