Linzy Scott is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions, Corporate & Taxation Practice Group. Mr. Scott’s principal areas of concentration are corporate law, corporate finance, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital and related subject areas. Mr. Scott represents businesses at all stages of development, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Scott has also represented a wide variety of clients in many different industries, including venture capital/investment banking firms, healthcare companies, telecommunication companies, technology companies, manufacturing companies, professional sports teams, national retailers/suppliers and major not-for-profits.
Prior to joining Taylor English in 2008, Mr. Scott was a corporate partner with the international law firm of Duane Morris LLP, one of the top 100 largest law firms worldwide. Prior to Duane Morris, Mr. Scott was a corporate partner with Powell Goldstein LLP, one of Atlanta’s oldest and largest law firms. Mr. Scott started his legal career as a corporate associate with the international law firm of Jones Day LLP, one of the top 10 largest law firms worldwide. As a result, Mr. Scott brings to Taylor English extensive experience in a multitude of different corporate transactions, obtained from working with of some of the largest law firms in the world.
Outside of Mr. Scott’s legal practice, he remains active in the Atlanta community through service on many not-for-profit boards and participation in leading city and state leadership programs. Mr. Scott is married and has four children.
