Lauren H. Zeldin

Lauren H. Zeldin is a member of the Firm’s Employment, Labor & Immigration practice group who practices primarily in the areas of employment discrimination, civil rights, and wage and hour litigation, including the representation of employers in connection with race, sex, age, national origin, religion, and disability discrimination claims in federal and state courts and before various administrative agencies. Ms. Zeldin also has experience representing employers in connection with Rule 23 class actions, as well as collective actions filed pursuant to Section 216(b) of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Zeldin regularly provides clients with day-to-day counseling and advice on a variety of employment issues, including creating and implementing effective workplace policies and practices, conducting meaningful investigations of complaints of harassment and discrimination, and advising government contactors on affirmative action compliance. Ms. Zeldin has experience conducting internal wage and hour audits and advising employers on how to correctly classify employees under the FLSA. She also represents employers in connection with audits and on-site investigations conducted by government agencies, including OFCCP.

Ms. Zeldin has a particular interest in employee selection and test validation issues and is a contributor to Chapter 4 (Application of Adverse Impact to Employment Decisions) of the 2007 Fourth Edition of Employment Discrimination Law by Barbara T. Lindemann and Paul Grossman.
Prior to joining Taylor English, Ms. Zeldin practiced employment law with Ashe, Rafuse & Hill, LLP, an Atlanta employment law and commercial litigation boutique. Ms. Zeldin is also an active member of the Atlanta pro bono legal community. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Georgia Appleseed Young Professionals’ Council and also volunteers with the Truancy Intervention Project, which provides representation in juvenile court to children charged with truancy. Ms. Zeldin lives in Dunwoody with her husband and two sons.
