Ken Mallernee is a member of the Firm’s Real Estate, Development & Construction group at Taylor English and his practice is centered on commercial real estate transactions.  Ken has extensive experience in all areas of real estate, including leasing, subleasing, acquisition, disposition, development and financing of retail, office, industrial, mixed use, multi-family and hotel properties. He also has experience with commercial and residential real estate closings and real estate related litigation.

Prior to joining Taylor | English, from 2000-2008, Mr. Mallernee served as senior legal counsel for the Atlanta-based nationwide retailer Aaron Rents, Inc., focusing primarily on commercial real estate transactions, franchise matters and general corporate work.  During this time, he handled more than 1500 commercial leases, 750 closings of real estate purchases and sales and 250 sale/leaseback transactions.  Mr. Mallernee also has served as in-house counsel for another corporation and as a judicial law clerk at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas in Cleveland, Ohio.  He has practiced law in both Cleveland, Ohio, and in Charlotte, North Carolina, in addition to Atlanta.
