John Rezac is a member of the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights practice group at Taylor English Duma LLP. Mr. Rezac’s practice includes representing national and regional banks, credit unions and other financial institutions inside and outside of Bankruptcy Court, as well as Chapter 7 Trustees, Creditors’ Committees and other non-debtor entities in a wide variety of bankruptcy matters. Mr. Rezac’s work routinely includes representing parties in the purchase and sale of properties in bankruptcy, preference and fraudulent transfer avoidance actions, turnover actions and other bankruptcy disputes and litigation. Mr. Rezac has represented real estate developers, manufacturers and other businesses in loan work-outs and restructuring and Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases during significant and challenging economic cycles, including downturns in the technology, airline and real estate development industries.
Mr. Rezac has worked in the Atlanta, Georgia law offices of Wilson Strickland & Benson PC, Holland & Knight LLP, and Chamberlain Hrdlicka White Williams & Martin, and has operated his own law firm, John K. Rezac PC. Prior to beginning his law career, Mr. Rezac worked for eight years in the financial services industry in the areas of credit extension, recovery, credit risk management, fraud prevention and business development. In 2007, Mr. Rezac was selected by his peers in the legal community as one of Georgia Trend Magazine’s “Legal Elite” in the area of Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights.
