Joe English is a member of the firm’s Employment, Labor & Immigration practice group. Mr. English regularly defends employers in employment litigation and arbitration at the administrative, trial and appellate levels, appearing in federal and state courts throughout the country. Mr. English’s litigation practice has included complex class action litigation, ERISA, wage and hour litigation, and the spectrum of employment discrimination and retaliation claims. In addition, he provides day-to-day counseling services to clients on general employment-related matters, including risk management and preventative practices.
Mr. English has several years of experience representing Employment Practices Liability Insurance (“EPLI”) carriers on a national and regional level, coordinating the defense of insured employment-related claims in a cost-effective and efficient manner. He is a frequent speaker on topics related to EPLI and employment law, and has conducted training for underwriters and claims professionals on employment-related legal issues.
Prior to joining Taylor English in 2006, Mr. English practiced law for nearly 15 years with Fisher & Phillips, LLP, a national labor and employment law firm. Mr. English has achieved an “AV” peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating awarded.
