Ilene Berman is a member of the Employment, Labor & Immigration Group. Ms. Berman has extensive experience defending companies of various sizes in employment litigation as lead counsel in federal and state courts, before administrative agencies and in arbitration proceedings. She also counsels and trains employers on a wide-range of employment-related issues, including conducting on-site compliance inspections and in-house management and employee training programs. Ms. Berman is also experienced in representing companies and individuals in restrictive covenant disputes and has drafted and advised clients on non-compete agreements, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements, and employment contracts.
Ms. Berman is a regular panel speaker at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration’s Employment Law Roundtable, where she addresses current employment issues in the hospitality industry. She also is a presenter at workplace and employment law seminars throughout the country for human resources management and business organizations.
Prior to joining Taylor English, Ms. Berman practiced employment law on behalf of management for 13 years with Fisher & Phillips LLP, a nationally distinguished and one of the largest employment law boutique firms. She is married and has three children. Ms. Berman serves on the Advisory Board of the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, Inc. She also is the Executive Vice President and a member of the Executive Committee of Congregation B’nai Torah in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
